Painful or Not So Painful Things

While browsing the internet I came across this 27 Painfully Awkward things  and decided to make my own list. There is definitely not 27,mainly because I relate to the list provided.

Awkward Things List

- The bathroom door does lock. When a man at the office tells you that you should always remember to lock the bathroom door because he goes in it. The even more awkward part is locking it then forgetting so you push the door,it doesn't open,unlock the door and walk out  trip out.

- Having your boss catch you jamming out in your car as you pull up into the parking lot. Awkward! In my defense it was Reba and I was in a power mode.

- Falling on your way to class. Hope not too many people saw me biff it to the ground. AGAIN! ( See what I did with the title.)

- When you randomly look up and make eye contact with someone. That happend today and I must admit it felt a little strange.

-When a stranger tells you personal details about their divorce and you just shake your head up and down because you have no idea what to say.

-Sleeping on the couch sitting up at school. Oops,I really was trying to be productive and in my defense it was 7:30 am. 

I think that sums up this week.

Amber Upside Down

I don't always watch shows directed towards preteens,but when I do I watch pretty good ones. Once upon a Tuesday night I was hanging out with my favorite ten year old and we came across Alice Upside Down on Netfilx. Pretty good show,just an fyi. Anyway it is quite hilarious, interesting,and a little awkward when you can relate to an 11 year old girl.

As I was watching this show I remembered those countless times that I have embarrassed myself.
It started in Kindergarton when I forgot that I had to take off my flower mask during a song of graduation. It didn't stop there..

Backround information: 

In the movie Alice gets to perform a little dance number in the school play and she falls and ruins the stage. 

 That reminded me of the time that I fell down the stairs while having the final dress rehearsal for one of my school plays. Talk about embarrassing. Luckily it was not during an actual performance. That happened more times than once throughout the many shows I participated in.

Now after grade school  I told myself I was done with this embarrassment falling thing while at school. 

LIE!!!

Even now at the college I have fallen in the same spot at least three times. Its embarassing as I hit the cement,stuff goes flying and I try to hold back tears and bring up a smile.

Why can't embarring moments be like they are in the movies? Glamourous and hilarious. Instead they are hidious and awful.

You are a Weirdo withOUT a Beardo

Yep this is all too familiar. Weird is by far an understatement. 

My typical weird things that I do consist of:

• Talking to myself. (Can't believe that I just admitted that and the fact that I am saying this all out loud as I type.) Anyway, lets be real because I don't talk to myself in public, I mainly do it while alone. Especially in the car,lets just say I get some pretty strange looks most of the time. Despite the weirdness, I love it. It helps me get my thoughts out in a orderly (?) fashion. 
• I can make myself laugh so hard sometimes by dancing and making weird noises around the house or in the car. Insert reactions from above. 
• Have you ever wondered what it would be like to spit out your toothpaste up in space and watch it splatter all over? That was my thought as I brushed my teeth this morning and there are many more where that came from.
• The looks I get in the car while driving with the windows down and singing at the top of my lungs. I am a pro. (At least I think I am,other people would probably dissagree.)
• There is also that weird moment where you mention something to someone and they give you that look like 'Uh,who are you?'

However if you are lacking a pen, chew on another's pen  and it is a guarantee that they will let you keep it.

Going to the dentist tomorrow and thinking 'this would be kind of awesome,and really awkward for my dentist. My friends dubbed me Queen of Awkward. Then I think I like my dentist,so I better not.'

What is more awkward than________?

While scrolling down Twitter,I came across a tweet that related so perfect to my life that it was worth beyond more than just a "Favorite" Or a "Retweet." It deserves a medal. A BIG shiny gold one at that.

Yep,that is my life. That is what happens. Mainly I don't stutter so I can not claim that,however whether you want awkward or not you will get it. Thus the question What is more awkward than Amber's Pickup lines? Yes,they are mine. Yes,I made them up for the most part. 

Lets start off with the basics for a random occasion at the grocery store,library,or maybe even the park. 

"Hey,you're cute!"
"Hey,I like your face."
"Heyyyy ;)" (sometimes I like to use the whole guy head flick deal with an added wink.)
";)"

Now you take "Hey I like your shirt,but I kinda like your face better" And you turn that Heyyy,You're a babe." And so on and so on. Those are the regulars.

Awkward 101

So,seeing as this is an awkward blog and I am an awkward person. I figured I should finally place a post about being awkward. So grab your pencil and paper and take great notes there is a lot in this class folks.

 To be awkward.. well, I have no idea what notes you should take. Being Awkward just comes naturally. You should know that I don't feel awkward a lot, its usually the people I am awkward (?) towards. Am I really that awkward?

And it starts now. Main Subject is:

Boys
          Oh where to even start?

A. There was this one time that I went on a date with this boy that I really kind of digged and it was great. He took me to the movies and came back to my house blah blah typical right? This was my chance to FINALLY kiss him seeing as the week before we went to the movies and after stood in the rain and talked for two hours..(Kiss a girl in the rain!!!!) Anyway as I digress. So back to FINALLY,I walk him out to his car and he hugs me I try to kiss him on the cheek. (subtle, right?) well I end up giving him the most weird kiss          
on the neck. Kissing on the neck is supposed to be sexy,right? Well,this kiss was far from sexy,it happened to land on the top of his neck under his jaw. Worst part, his response of "Thank You." I was so embarrassed. 

B. All those times that I have hit on guys in front of my friends and they feel awkward and by them I mean my friends and the guys. Sometimes it gets extreme and I hit on guys for my friends,cause lets face it some of them are kind of chicken. No offense I mean we are all a little bit chicken sometimes. It happens. Even to me on more serious matter. The reason why they get awkward is the things I say. My pick up lines. Coming in a blog post in your near future. Anyways, this happens on a regular basis and I love it! 

C. I say things a little too fast and too LOUD. When walking casually and I see a cute guy and turn to my friend to mention it I tend to forget that whole whispering thing and he ends up hearing and that either leads to two things. 1-He smiles and says thanks with a compliment in return. OR 2. He gets a strange look and walks away as fast as he can. But hey, that is just how I roll. :)
